Exploring some of the wikis in the discovery exercises was fun. The wikis I liked best were the Library Success Best Practices wiki, Blogging Libraries wiki, and the TeacherLibrarian wiki. What I liked about them was that they were easy to navigate, the information was applicable and some things could be implemented quickly. Interesting links I found were http://overbooked.org and http://webtools4u2use.wikispaces.com
The message about wikis is that they are all about collaboration, working together to meet a common goal. Trying to get people who are uncomfortable with technology to buy into the idea of using wikis can be a challenge. Wikis are a great way to engage students.
There are so many amazing resources. It's hard to stop once you get started exploring. That old overwhelming feeling is creeping in. There is never enough time to look through everything. Once again I am bookmarking things to come back to and hoping that I won't forget to return.
